The cover of the March issue displays two photographs by Jake Adams from an article from him about his observed spawning in captivity of the beautiful Flame wrasse (Cirrhilabrus jordani). This article, along with other beautiful photographs, along with a photo of the man made habitat that the spawning took place in, will appear in Advanced Aquarist’s April issue.

This is a photo by Jake Adams of the tank that the spawning took place in. More about this next month.

Also next month is part 3 of Dana Riddle’s series on coral coloration . Part 3 is of particular interest as Dana explores the relationship of trace elements to coral coloration. Below is one of the photos from this article.

  3. Smart content formatting (for example: no more long links or large images breaking website layout).
  4. Subscribe to threads as well as bookmark topics for fast referencing.
  5. Friends and Foe (ignore member) functionality.

  8. As always, Reefs.org has the friendliest and most member-oriented, “hands-off” moderating staff.

We invite all clubs, societies, vendors, LFS, and manufacturers to make Reefs.org your home for forums. Reefs.org offers companies and organizations more functionality than any other online community:

  1. Moderate your own forums (no need to rely on outside staff for everyday administration).
  2. Choose up to three subforums to compliment your main forum. For example, create a “For Sale,” “Announcement,” and “Meetings and Events” subforums to organize your forum activity.
  3. Clubs and societies: announce your events on Reefs.org’s homepage. Vendors and LFS: announce your sales and promotions on Reefs.org’s homepage. Manufacturers: announce your new products on Reefs.org’s homepage.

Forums and announcements are free to clubs, societies, and non-profit organizations. Commercial forums and announcements are only available to advertising sponsors. Please contact [email protected] for more information.

Our staff is working hard to improve members’ experiences and make Reefs.org your home for all things reefkeeping. Reefs.org was the first online reefkeeping community, and we have pioneered many of the ideas used by other communities. We will always strive to put our members’ priorities above all else. Please let us know what we can do for you!
