Pocillopora meandrina spawn recorded for first time

The beautiful cauliflower coral of the Pacific Ocean Pocillopora meandrina has been caught in the act during a spawning event in Hawaii last month.  Great video of the event was recorded by our friends over at the Sea Grant.

Whether or not this spawn was preceded by the corals tweeting photos of their corallites to other reef dwellers, we still do not know. LINK
