Reefers are Highly Evolved

OK, not exactly.  But an article at Discovery News suggests that perhaps the prune-finger phenomenon is not due so much to an osmotic reaction in your fingers as it is your body giving you a better grip on objects when your hands are wet.  All of the sudden, Spiderman doesn’t seem so amazing after all.  Give it some thought the next time you have your hands in your tank and are manhandling your corals.
