The World’s Most Endangered Corals

An article today from the Guardian reveals the findings of a panel of experts from a recent workshop at Oxford University.  While this is pretty much the same message we are getting on all fronts regarding the precipitous position the oceans are in, they panel included a list of the world’s most endangered corals.  Obviously on the list is our Caribbean friend Acropora palmata (pictured above), but I was a bit surprised to find the pearl bubble coral  (Physogyra lichtensteini) and Elegance coral (Catalaphyllia jardinae) also on the list.  LINK
