Soft coral domination

This tank really brings us back to the formative years of our hobby.  Reefkeeper Aaron Ro says most of the colonies are between 8-10 years old, with many propagated clones made throughout the years; The oldest toadstool has a lineage going back thirty years (early 1980s)!  A Mystery Wrasse, Japanese Masked Angel pair, Banggai Cardinal, Marine Betta, and Yellowtail Damsel are the only fish to roam this lush soft coral garden.

Maybe it’s about time to make the old new again.  Soft coral comeback, anyone?
