Lightning Maroon Clownfish Playdate

by | Jul 12, 2013 | Fish, Funny, Too Cute | 0 comments

We’re respecting the privacy of the proud owner of these two incredible fish, but the kids are fair game!  Many people have inquired as to the plans for these fish, and as mentioned previously, they are to spend their years in an incredible show tank in NYC.  The tank is cared for by a well known aquarium designer (we’ll have a post about him later), and all stops are being taken to make sure these fish have a good and healthy life.

The two clowns are of slightly different sizes, so to aid them in their sexual development, they are being kept apart and will be paired with other fish to improve the odds that they will each reach the proper size to form a mated pair.

But kids will be kids and it looks like the two slipped out of their window for a quick rendezvous, you know, just to check each other out.  “Hey, nice vents!”

After about 30 minutes the two are separated and placed back into their holding tanks where they are still acclimating to the new environment.  We hope to have more info on the pair soon.
