Lighting Maroon Clownfish – Dinner and a Movie

by | Oct 4, 2013 | Eye Candy, Fish | 1 comment

In what we hope will be the first of many, we get a glimpse of a pair of the famous Lightning Maroon Clownfish which are now residing in New York.  To be clear, this is not the first pair that sold to a collector, but a second pair, purchased by the same organization, and dedicated for breeding and captive study.  The group in charge of the breeding project is still a secret, but rest assured they are one of the top teams in the world for this task.  The good thing about this video is that the clowns are not attacking each other and there does already appear to be a bit of sexual dimorphism.  They are displaying the typical female dominance and posturing you would expect, and they look quite comfortable in their starter home.  We’ll give them a few months to get “acquainted” and check back in with the darling couple.
