The Lagoon all-in-one (AIO) aquariums is Innovative Marine’s newest product line and consists of a 25 gallon “squat cube” and a 50 gallon aquarium.  The Lagoon line mirrors the high build quality of IM’s NUVO and SR lines with a few differences:

1. The clear low-iron glass is thicker in relation to the aquarium’s size.  For example, the 25 gallon tank employs 8mm glass – the same thickness glass used on their 40 gallon NUVO.
2. The Lagoon aquariums come with IM’s latest pre-molded micron socks.
3. There are no mesh lids included with purchase because the Lagoon series is designed as an open-top, above-the-water-line aquascaping (e.g. mangrove, driftwood, paludrium).  Mesh lids may be offered as an option in the future.
4. The Lagoon aquariums will launch with optional high-gloss modern stands in three different color options: Pearl White, Obsidian Black, and Gunmetal Grey.

Like the NUVO and SR lines, the Lagoons are attractively priced when build quality is taken into consideration.  Innovative Marine expressed to us their intention to price their AIOs as low as possible to draw as many people into the hobby and into the IM “ecosystem.”  This business approach is similar to when PetSmart runs their “$1 per gallon” sales with the intention of driving more people into the hobby, which ultimately benefits the industry as a whole.

To further that goal, IM has given aquarists more choices than ever.  By our count, IM now offers 10, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, and 120 gallon AIOs (of various dimensions ranging from traditional rectangles to cubes to low profile tanks) slotted into the NUVA, SR, and Lagoon product lines along with matching stands and interchangeable desktop, midsize, and fullsize accessories.

As is customary with IM product launches, they have produced a video to showcase the new Lagoon AIOs.  Once again, IM has decided to collaborate with various other companies in their video to demonstrate how various products can come together.
