Anablepsoides hoetmeri is described from middle rio Acre, a tributary of the rio Purus, Amazon drainage, Brazil. A stud of a male (47.8mm length) is pictured above.

Melanorivulus polychromus is also described from Brazil, namely the rio São José dos Dourados drainage in southwestern Brazil.  Pictured is a male (26.1mm)

Of the three new species, Aphyosemion bitteri is the only species from Africa – Gabon, to be exact.  This photograph is a lovely 27.3mm female.
