A little behind-the-scenes story: I happened to spot an image of this tank while I was stalking one of my favorite Facebook reefing groups; I PMed the owner of the picture and found out that he only lives one hour away from me!

With that said, we traveled to Boynton Beach, Florida to visit Patrick Thomas’ amazing 55 gallon mixed reef tank. What’s interesting is that Patrick is doing everything against the trend and he’s having amazing success in keeping a beautiful, thriving aquarium. Interested yet? Take a look.
