SC Frozen Lava Chalice

In just the past couple of years we have seen some incredible chalices that develop red colored outer growth edges. A few of these chalices have also contained blue pigmentation. The SC Frozen Lava Chalice is one of the very few blue chalices with red growth edges. Its outer growth edge is colored solid red, while the main surface contains a background red striping. The dominant main surface pigment is bright blue and it tends to develop thick blue rings around the corals large corallites. In some areas of the surface the solid blue pigment can dominate. Corallite mouths are red, while the disk has red spots and a faint blue pigment.
