A small clown, the True Percula gets about 3 to 4 inches in length. They aren’t as aggressive as some of the other clowns but they can become aggressive once two pair off. They do well without anemones as they will use corals like mushrooms, frogspawn, and leathers. Be careful that it doesn’t come down with white slime diseases or Brooklynella when you first get it. If the fish shows signs you need to treat it right away or the fish will most likely die. Different variations of this fish are available, under many different names, and can command a very high price. The variations are usually among the colors of the stripes, some black, others white, while others have crazy patterns.
