Similar to the Whitley Boxfish but a lot cheaper. Males are much more colorful than females and are usually larger. They’re ich magnets so they need to be quarantined before you place one into your tank. They’re not reef safe as they will eat invertebrates and may take bites out of corals while looking for food. They do well in FO or Fowlr tanks but need peaceful tank mates as they’re slow swimmers. They can give off toxins so you need to be careful. Because of their beaks they shouldn’t be kept in acrylic tanks, as they can take bites out of the acrylic and leave scratches.
