The New OceanGuard Aquariums and More News from Aquaforest

Once again, the Aquaforest booth impressed us this with the new OceanGuard and some very interesting products. Let’s take a look at everything together.

The first thing we saw at the Aquaforest booth was one of the most beautiful aquariums at the entire Interzoo event: the brand-new OceanGuard. But what really caught our eye was the corals it contained, especially the LPS and Euphyllia, all top-notch. Our friend Georg Kotlin introduced us to the new Aquaforest products and gave us a very thorough interview, which you can watch below, where he presents the new 2024 marine and freshwater products.

Before we continue, here’s our video of the Aquaforest booth at Interzoo 2024, providing a full overview with photos, videos, and article. Don’t miss it.

Let’s talk about corals

As we mentioned in our editorial about the event, during this edition of Interzoo 2024, there were very few aquariums set up. However, the Aquaforest booth showcased one of the most beautiful aquariums of the whole event. The new OceanGuard contained some stunning corals!

The magnificent LPS coral aquarium at the Aquaforest booth at Interzoo 2024

OceanGuard has been on the market for a couple of years, but it’s a premium aquarium, mainly aimed at those looking for a long-term tank. The cabinet is made from the same wood used for boats, ensuring it won’t have issues with water and humidity. It uses OptiWhite glass, known for its incredible transparency. The aquarium also features a pipe system and sump that are simply outstanding. The OceanGuard 790 displayed at the event was equipped with OCTO gear.

But, as is the Aquaforest tradition, the aquarium can also be ordered without the technical components so you can add your preferred equipment.

Aquaforest Polyp-Up

Polyp-Up is the new product developed by Aquaforest for feeding corals.

Polyp-Up is an excellent nutritional supplement for corals, particularly SPS corals. It enhances the appearance of polyp extension and their coloration. Thanks to its unique formula, Polyp-Up also promotes tissue growth and improves coral immunity.

Moreover, it is a source of Omega-3 and Omega-6 unsaturated fats, as well as vitamins and amino acids. The antioxidants help enhance coral coloration, especially yellow and orange hues. The product contains antioxidants that protect corals’ delicate tissues from damage caused by free radicals. Lighting changes, fragging, and UV radiation are some of the stress factors that cause them to secrete these radicals.

Aquaforest Component 3 in 1

Component 3 in 1 is Aquaforest’s new supplementation system. It’s essentially a single product to manage a marine aquarium.

Component 3 in 1 is a complete product with macro and micro elements, designed for marine aquariums and based on the Balling Method, but combined into just one product. The formula includes highly concentrated calcium, magnesium, and KH in proportions that perfectly align with the needs of corals. Component 3 in 1 contains organic calcium salts, so it also acts as a carbon source in marine aquariums.

Aquaforest Clear Boost

The last product we saw at the Aquaforest booth is Clear Boost, a product exclusively for the freshwater aquarium world.

Clear Boost is a specialized blend designed to clarify water in freshwater aquariums. It removes impurities that cause water cloudiness, making the water crystal clear. The preparation is completely safe for aquarium inhabitants and doesn’t harm fish, plants, or other aquatic animals. It’s an optimal flocculant for freshwater aquariums, and as we see in the video, when dosed in the water, there’s no increase in cloudiness, unlike with similar products we’re used to.

Of course, we mustn’t forget about the wide range of Aquaforest products, although this year we preferred to focus on the new releases.
