A revolutionary feed in gel, skimmers, pumps, and more with Dupla at Interzoo

Dupla presented many interesting products at Interzoo 2022, including a new gel feed that should last for days in the aquarium.

Dupla‘s booth was one of the most interesting at Interzoo thanks to its new gel feed. This feed can last 24 hours or a week in the aquarium without deteriorating because of the gel in which it’s encapsulated, and remains available to the fish. We brought home a pair of blisters, one 24 hour duration and one weekly duration. Actually we’ve only tried the daily blister, but soon we’ll test the other one too.

Now let’s see all Dupla’s news, but first let’s start with our video!

Before you go on, we leave you to our video so that you can see the booth not only in picture. Clicking on the link you’ll be directly sent to the part about Dupla, but you can also watch the rest. The video is in Italian, you only have to turn the English subs on! Enjoy!

As you can see one of the main tables at the booth was the one with the gel feed. The feed seemed firm enough to the touch, but you need to be careful not to push too much to avoid breaking the coating. After all, it has to resist water, but it must be available to fish.

Pictured below is the different kinds of feeds available. The feed is available in 4 variations, in addition to the 24-hours and the weekly, there is also a protein-rich and one with spirulina.

Pumps and skimmers

Dupla also previewed a series of skimmers with increasing power and a series of movement and return pumps.

The pumps come in an unusual pink color, and the skimmers have pink fins. It’s the first time we have seen pink in marine aquariology, if I’m not wrong. It’s intriguing!

There aren’t any details about Dupla skimmers or pumps yet, and we’re waiting to hear news from Aquaristica, Dupla’s distributor in Italy, for a more precise update with the technical data.

The new automatic feeder Duplamatic

DuplaMatic is a brand new automatic feeder, easy to use and to program. The feeder can be connected to an outlet and with a rechargeable battery, so that it can always be ready to work even in the event of a blackout and, if there is one, you won’t lose your settings. There are 16 slots for food, and they close almost hermetically with a lid.

Over the lid you can insert another cylinder to increase the food to administered to the aquarium.

Last but not least… new sea beds and decorations

We really appreciated Dupla‘s effort to present many kinds of sea beds for any kind of aquarium, from the rough ones to the finest. There was something for everyone.

The materials for interior decoration of freshwater aquariums were also various, beautiful, and quite unconventional!

So strange and intriguing!
