Acropora nasuta has to be one of the most colorful reef building corals in the sea.  This Acropora nasuta was grown over a four year period into this nicely shaped colony from a seed fragment with lineage from Atlantis Aquarium.  The rasberry axial and radial coralites are in contrast to the lemon lime pigments on the main branch.  The Acropora genus has many beautiful species but none rival the Acropora nasuta.  The growth on this particular specimen is slow and a colony of this size took approximately four years to realize.  The seed fragments from this  lineage have a remarkable survival rate and when multiple cuttings are taken, near 100% have survived.  The patience and dedication invested into growing this beautiful coral is paid back in its remarkable beauty.
