Adopt a Coral this Holiday Season!

Looking for a unique gift for a friend or loved one? Why not adopt a coral in their name? Not only will you be giving them a beautiful, interesting experience, but you’ll be helping save our reefs – and as I’m sure most of you know, our reefs can use all the help they can get!

Coralgardeners.org has two coral gardens, one in Mo-orea, in French Polynesia, and another in Malolo (Fiji). Since their founding in 2017, they have planted 100,870 resilient corals, and they plan to “expand restoration around the world and empower the local communities to become coral gardeners as part of a bluer economy.” For $30, you can adopt a Pocillopora meandrina (cauliflower coral), a Montipora grisea, an Acropora retusa, and more, and then track its progress! Once the coral has been settled into their nursery, the team will email you pictures and send you personal updates, and you can add your name so that you (and the world) can see your coral in the reef.
