We don't have any information about this reef aquarium (posted by youtube member "Jack Allen") other than it's a beauty! Large display tank. Mature coral colonies. Fat angels and tangs. What more needs to be said? by Admin | Oct 10, 2013 | Advanced Aquarist
We usually don't blog about commercial sales, but we're making an exception because of the extreme rarity (and price) of these two Centropyges. It appears NYAquatics is entering the ultra-high-end-fish foray by offering not only a Peppermint Angel but also a Narcosis Angel for sale. For anyone with deep deep pockets and a passion for dwarf angelfish, here's your chance. by Admin | Oct 10, 2013 | Advanced Aquarist
Round and around and around we go. Nothing gets between an emerald crab and its dinner. This Mithrax sculptus hitches a ride on a rotating Hydor Flo wavemaker and chows down like it's business as usual. by Admin | Oct 8, 2013 | Advanced Aquarist
It's a good day to be a Centropyge fan! Only officially described in 1989, Centropyge nahackyi is a rarely seen deepwater angelfish. Breeding populations only occur at Johnston Atoll, a tiny and secluded coral reef in the Eastern-Central Pacific, making this Hawaiian sighting even rarer. John Coney photographed this little gem and Brian Greene provides us with video. by Admin | Oct 8, 2013 | Advanced Aquarist
Last week, Blue Harbor (Japan) received the most epic shipment of NINE ultra-deepwater Centropyge boylei ever. Today, they posted a video of of a group of Peppermints elegantly cruising and grazing their holding tank. These fish are real stunners! by Admin | Oct 7, 2013 | Advanced Aquarist
If you love sea turtles, you probably shouldn't watch this video. But as far as wildlife footage goes, this video is remarkable. A massive tiger sharks ravages a sea turtle in the open ocean. The grisly video is shot by one brave diver, Julia Sumerling and includes footage both above and below the water line.
