The historic Shedd Aquarium (Chicago) has reclaimed top attendance amongst US aquariums for 2012, a distinction which had been held by Georgia Aquarium for the five previous years. A new jellyfish exhibit along with the captive birth of a Beluga whale and Pacific white-sided dolphin helped boost attendance by 2% compared to 2011.
