Parapercis altipinnis sp. nov
Interestingly, the body of Parapercis altipinnis is more reminiscent of Plectranthias (e.g the Geometric Pygmy Perchlet) than other Parapercis sp., who have more elongated “lizardfish” like bodies.

My forest aquarium at day 75. I added some moss with glue on the trees in the aquascape. It doesn’t look that natural compared to fishing line. But it is very hard to use fishing line to put moss on the trees while they are standing up.

C. shutmani was collected from steep, volcanic rubble slopes at Didicas Volcano, Babuyan Islands, Cagayan province, northern Philippines at a depth of 50–70 meters.

Scientists have long known that marine animals mistakenly eat plastic debris because the tiny bits of floating plastic might look like prey.
Research has repeatedly shown that aquariums can reduce stress, anxiety, muscle tension, pulse rate, and blood pressure. It’s even been found to aid patients suffering Alzheimer’s disease by increasing their appetite while reducing physically aggressive behaviors.
