Summer vacation is here and if you haven’t planned your annual holiday yet, you may be in luck. Perhaps one of these hotels, in honor of Shark Week which aired yesterday on the Discovery Channel, will catch your eye. If Great Whites excite you, then you should head to Chatham Bars Inn, in Chatham Massachusetts, a premier luxury beach resort. The Chatham Bar Inn partners with the the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy (AWSC), allowing its guests a rare chance to shadow scientists on a boat while conducting shark research off Cape Cod. Guests may even get a chance to see the scientists tag a Great White. If Las Vegas is more your style, then you will want to head to Mandalay Bay. Mandalay Bay is home to Shark Reef, which has 15 different species of shark residents. If you are a certified diver, you can sign up for the Dive With The Sharks Experience, which gets you nose to nose with the hotel residents. If diving is a little too close for comfort, Las Vegas also has the Golden Nugget which boasts a 200,000 gallon swimming pool converted to a shark tank with an enclosed water slide which gets guests close but not too close. Perhaps this year you will be able to enjoy this years Shark Week from one of these fantastic shark hotels. MORE
