From now until June 24, MASNA will be accepting submissions for the inaugural MASNA Scientific Poster Session, held at the Marine Aquarium Conference of North America (MACNA) 2016 in San Diego, California, September 9 – 11, 2016.
The MASNA Scientific Poster Session allows for advanced aquarists, undergraduates, graduate students, and scientists to submit scientific posters on their current or past marine aquarium related research projects. This includes submissions from hobbyists that would be seen as advanced aquarists.
Posters will be on display from 9am-6pm either on Friday, September 9th, or Saturday, September 10th. Presenting authors shall be present, next to their poster, for the 1.5 hours on the day their poster is on display, which will give MACNA 2016 attendees an opportunity to get up close and personal with scientists and fellow hobbyists, and discuss aquarium related science.
Posters will be judged by a committee consisting of general hobbyists, and scientists. Prizes will be awarded for posters in each of the three following categories: general hobbyists, undergraduate students, and graduate students.
Accepted posters will need to have at least one author present at MACNA 2016, in San Diego California, from September 9-11th. Authors may not solely represent multiple posters. Accepted posters do not come with admission to MACNA, and all attending authors will need to have MACNA Full Conference Passes so that they can be present at the Saturday night banquet.
This event is sponsored by WAMAS, CORAL, and EcoTech Marine.
