Fauna Marin Reef Bacteria & Enzymes with depot effect Bacto Reef Balls are the first fully available marine bacteria to feature nutrient control through the use of time release technology which Fauna Marin refers to as “depot nutrient control”. In addition to containing time released probiotic bacteria, the product also uses a carrier gel material that dissolves in conjunction with the probiotics. This specialized carrier gel, developed for marine aquariums, dissolves and allows the bacteria to be released slowly into the aquarium. The gel itself is an additional carbon source for the probiotic bacteria. This product truly is an “add it and forget it” approach to delivering carbon and probiotic bacteria for your aquarium. Due to varying lighting conditions and water parameters in the aquarium, colors in this cnidarian may change from blue to green while the typically red hue may change to pink. Unlike some of our political candidates over the years, the Captain America Palythoa, like a true superhero, will by Barry Brown | Nov 8, 2016 | Corals, Fish, Reef, Science
Good morning all, how was your weekend out there?? I pretty much just laid around feeling tired after doing an 80k mountain bike ride Friday with the Dutch Navy and Army guys and gals, talk about an “in shape” group of people! We started at 7:00am from the airport and rode a giant loop that took around four hours and half of it was through mud and water sometime up to a meter deep! Sounds fun right?? I have a new “coral problem” for you all today that I found last Thursday out on our house reef. by Gary Parr | Nov 6, 2016 | Fish, Podcast, Reef, Science
