Our friends over at Exoticsealife Florida posted an incredible selection of photos from a recent excursion to Papua New Guinea, showcasing these two families of corals in their natural habitat. For most hobbyists, it is hard to imagine that such fantastically colored items aren’t manufacturer by Willy Wonka, but indeed, the rainbow chalices and brightly colored acans can be found creeping their way up rocks and other debris in the Pacific Ocean. These photos really provide some excellent ideas for placement of frags and colonies in our tanks to avoid the fruit stand look. Be sure to check out the galleries on ESF’s Facebook page.
