This submassive and irregularly branching Montipora was a new species morph for the captive market when it was imported. The coral also has an intense Orange Cream Reddish pigmentation that contains some mauve coloration. The surface structure is very smooth and polyps are very tiny and they contain more reddish pigments. Because this is a submassive coral, at times it can appear as a brilliant solid orange red Montipora confusa type of coral. The original colony of this coral also could develop lime green pigments in certain areas. What even makes this coral more unique is that it can also form irregular branches.
