Andrey Mantula is the owner of Fish and Ships Assemblage and Steampunk styles crafts. A retired sailor from Russia, he now lives in a small village in Serbia with his wife. He tells me that the idea for these steampunk fish and sea creatures came to him spontaneously about two years ago; he had never done anything like this before and taught himself everything. To date, there have been two exhibitions, that were very successful – Andrey estimates that he’s made and sold around 300 pieces, and he says that he’ll keep making more as long as he has enough imagination
