Shark Finning has been in the news a LOT lately, and with good reason. The process kills the sharks and shark are at the top of the food chain, so decreasing their numbers will undoubtedly wreak havoc on the natural balance of fish on the reefs. Add to that that shark fins have NO PROVEN medical value and are actually quite toxic. What’s more, if you’ve ever eaten shark fin soup, you know it tastes pretty lousy.
