The video shows the flexibility/tunability of a RLSS R8U protein skimmer using a RPM-adjustable DC pump.  The DC-5000 pump features soft ramp-up as well as integrated feed mode.  We also see that the skimmer cup is a fitted slip design (with O-ring) and is not threaded; This is a nice design choice and will allow for fast and easy cleaner cup maintenance. From the information we’ve gathered thus far, the RLSS skimmers represent an impressive value.
