Declaring WAR on aptasia in my tank. Captivebred style.

Aptasia is something that everyone DREADS seeing in their aquarium.

It’s something that we can’t avoid. While there are many ways to deal with this nuisance anemone, due to the extremely limited time that I have at the moment, I decided to take care of it naturally.

Berghia nudis? No can do. I have wrasses in my tank that will swallow those babies up in a second.

What other options are left?

I went to my friends at Biota Aquariums to see their captive-bred selection of filefish and peppermint shrimps, weigh the pros and cons of each, and choose.

Let me know what you think about my choice in the comment section below and if you would have taken the same route or if there another animal that could have worked that I missed?

Love to hear your thoughts! Happy reefing!
