Japan’s unique coral reefs

Interruptus AngelfishCandy-Striped Basslet.   Wrought Iron Butterfly. Because of Okinawa’s separation from the Indo-Pacific and its unique geography and mixture of tropical and subtropical climate, these reefs are home to many unique species … and some of our hobby’s most expensive fish.

Surprisingly, not many videos exist about Japan’s coral reefs.  This short production by Frederic Bourque is set to “interesting” traditional Okinawan music.
