dendro?

i brought a dendro at the swap it hasnt opened up yet but all my other corals did my question is how long should it take to open up?

who did you get it from? The one i got from cherry corals opened up the same day. Why dont you try feeding it. Put the dendro in a chinese food container and add a airstone. Then drop some mysis or cyclops in there and wait a few minutes...

Cherry Corals had some nice ones.Bought a 4 head one for 40.00.Opened up after a few days.Gorgeous.The other heads are behind it.

my clown likes to brush up on my dendros. the dendros don't seem to mind.
give it a few more days.

imo, placement is the key. try putting the colony away from the light and low to mid flow. this is what works best for me....stack up some rocks trying to form like half a volcano, find some thing to cover like a lid that can be easily moved with a tong for feeding.
first try feeding when the lights are off. you can train them to open when the lights are on later. turn off your flow then just squirt some juice from the thawed mysis over them. i "tease" them to open before i feed them the mysis. if you want them to multiply fast then once a day. but 2-3 times a week should suffice.

sorry to drift off the subject but how do i get some of those? are they aussie dendro? 4 head for 40? that's a bargain. you wouldn't believe how much i paid for my 15+ heads.
