I got one a few weeks ago and placed it on fine sand with 65w PC. The plate is orange with green tentacles and the mouth is hot pink. Not much change except that the tentacles used to come out and now I can only see the tips. When lights are out it puffs up a bit. What is it trying to tell me.

Plate corals can be tricky. Hopefully someone that has kept them with success can chime in here. We lost one and I will never buy another. We have a few wrasses that like to spit sand all over the place and it seemed to irritate the plate coral, inevitably causing some sort of infection. I had it making a come back and in the end lost it anyway.
