Rbta splitting !!!

How does splitting actually happen, had caused it?

I had a nice size rbta and this morning I have two.

Is there any special care they need ?

They usually split when they are not happy. Its a survival thing. It looks like your tank may have alot of po4 and n03 by the look of the algae growing. Might want to fix that and it also may not be getting enough light

+1. What kind of lighting do you have? Mine split a while back. Had 2 bulbs that were bad. Changed the bulbs, and happy they became.

I have t5 but they are old I have been slacking
