I recently upgraded my 6500's to 20K (250W), and it is a nice crisp blue/white. At the same time I decided to change my 03 actinics ( icecap 430 with 2 72").. I did unplug the ballast (icecap) and and changed the bulbs, however they wont light, they only flick once then I have to reset the power. I have checked all the wiring and hit the ballast with a meter and everyhting seems fine, but they still wont light. I was wondering if it will really make a difference if io do not run the actinics? Anyone?

TIA

You really don't need them. If you like the look of them, figure out what is going on and fix it. If you don't miss them, get rid of em.

I wish I could figure out what is wrong! If i can get them running again I might run 1 03 and 1-50/50

unplug the white plug that goes into ballast and with the power on slowly push the plug back in. This may work. I use to have the same problem with 72" bulbs.
