With the 26 gallon I had, I had big problems with bryopsis for months at a time and it became tedious to remove the same.

I installed a refugium which caused an abatement of the bryopsis and stopped it, however calerpa mexicana took over.

Over the last 5 years since having the tank I have noticed a change of algae depending on the conditions in the tank.

I changed to RO water from bottled water, and no more algae on the glass and a reduction of calerpa, however, I do belive that phosphates leech out from the rock over time which explains the continuing problrm with calerpa.

Would the phosban reactor help? I know enough not to test phosphates except with the Hanna meter but since I dont have it, ...cant
