Good question, I think it all starts when one feather duster tickles another feather duster's fancy. :D

Sorry, I honestly have no idea, though I'm guessing they might be oviparous.. but they could be viviparous (or otherwise)! :oops:

I'm wondering because I recently bought another feather duster and stuck it right next to the one I already had. They seemed to move toward one antoher and interlock a few "feathers" for a couple days. Now, niether one has been out for about four days. I looked in the back of the LR where their ends are and I noticed that their tubes are attached now. I was wondering if they were mating or what?

I've never seen them do that, myself. So, who knows, you might be right!

.....I watched mine spawn.I believe they can do it without another duster participating 8) Here is a pic of what came to be,on a seafan :D
