  1. Pipefish q.

The conclusion. I didn't buy them for two reasons:- they were sold and -I probably couldn't assure proper conditions for them. Lfs had them for about 2 weeks. That time I was searching for info,I've set up a tank, but the food would be a problem. At lfs they told me that they eat live food ONLY ...

Thanks Randy, that's a great idea.Even if I'll not use it this time,I'll keep in mind. :) FM

Jenn ! Can you tell me please about the BR.SHR tank,do you have any substrate, rocks, plants or aeration in it ? Eventually feeding (just for the culture itself). Thanks FM
  4. Pipefish q.

Thanks guys! What would you suggest for minimum tank size for a pair? (Most likely they'll be sold by Tuesday, but let's see ...) FM :?:
  5. Pipefish q.

Not brackish, they had them in their feather duster tank (more quiet). At mid next week I'll check them out again. They are SPECTACULARE ,but if I'll get them,I want to assure good conditions. I'll keep informed. FM :)
  6. Pipefish q.

Thanks guys for the info! I have where to keep them, but providing the right food would be probably a problem.I'm not even sure if they still have them(lfs). I'll check and rethink again next week(ask what they fed them). And yes ; WOW they look SPECTACULARE !!! Take care. FM
  7. Pipefish q.

I've seen a pair (I belive), of red/white striped ones at lfs.Can you guys tell me anything about them, especially about breeding? All I know is that they're same family with seahorses and are very shy, slow eaters. Thanks FM -------------------------------------
  8. Salt question

For a FO tank(with Clowns) ,does it has to be reef salt only,or is OK to mix it up to some percent with cooking salt? Thanks FM
  9. Will this system be ok for soft corals- fish?

Tybond explained you all. I wouldn't want any Demsels, they are too mean. Where are you drieing in Canada? Good luck! FM
  10. Your favorite tip or trick...

    1) Since I had the Aquamend in my hand,I stuck it over the aptasia.Might not be the best way,but it got killed.Just leave it on for a week or so. 2) I used Aquamend to hold small rocks to the side glass with good success. Also,in Canada at HD is sold under the name of Epoxy Putty (by Oatey) at...
  11. Aptasia question again

Is there a specific kalc paste for this, where to get it? Thanks! FM
  12. Aptasia question again

What if I just try to scrape off the small ones? If they've got cut, will I just speed up the reproduction,or poison the tank? I'm talking about very small ones that are spreading however. How can the small ones be exterminated? Thanks FM
  13. Harbour anemone for plenum?

Yes,I meant refugium. I have a big one, about 1" base with 1" head.Looks like 3 branches of xenia tied together. Recently I've got 5-6 small ones on a LR. The shrooms and corals don't like them, they shrink. Anyhow, what else should be in the ref? Thanks FM
  14. HELP with My New Bubble Coral!!!!!!

Congratulations! My first coral was a bouble (about 1Y).Still doing great,no matter where I put it in the tank, but the best feels at medium light and current. It catches meaty food at feeding time. FM
  15. Harbour anemone for plenum?

I'm not sure how they are called, but they are those dark coloured annoying ones that come on live rocks. I just decided to clean my tank from them, than I've got a better idea: What about putting them into my soon to be built plenum? I would have there a DSB,LR,caluerpa with light on constantly...
