My lovely problem-free Mac Pro tower has started freezing at start-up...won't boot unless you boot in safe mode...i have removed drives, repair permissions, done a lot...it refuses to boot from a dvd as well...so i'm looking for someone who is experienced to come help me in Yonkers...It is a heavy tower I can't really travel with it (no car). Please let me know if you can suggest anyone, thanks!

Hehe Nelson. What OS is it, Jonny? I've used Applejack in the past when I've came across Macs with booting issues. Install it under safe mode, CMD-S at startup (Single User Mode)... then run either "applejack" or "applejack auto" or "applejack auto restart". The webpage will give you details on each option... if you choose running "applejack" with no options, make sure you perform each task in the order it's listed. Hope the utility can fix your issues...
