I just ordered three Sandisk 4gb CF cards for $68 dollars (not including shipping and tax) and will be getting a $60 rebate Visa check card in the mail. This works out to about $7 per 4gb card with shipping(I don't have to pay sales tax). They are offering the same deal on SD cards and other size CF cards, 8GB CF cards works out to about $12 a card without shipping if you get three.

Great deal for all those that are getting DSLR's.

I have one 16gb card, works great when I take Large jpeg+Raw and don't want to open the camera to swap cards. However, the larger card means you'll lose a lot more if the card gets corrupted. I now use mostly 2gb and 4gb cards and limit to about 500 pictures to a card before download.

I want to kick my self for ordering on friday, I just received the cybermonday coupon from them:

thanks what a deal!
3 8gb cards for 110, coupon for $10 covers the shipping, plus $70 back from sandisk
makes each card $13.00 each WooT!

Ming I would not trust that brand Transcend, I stick with Sandisk and kingston for my CF cards.

I reformat the cards every time I use them. I've lost only one file in all the time I've been shooting digital.

I would be more worried about loosing the card itself than it getting corrupted.
