so a deeper tank should use a higher Kelving bulb, huh?

Most reefers address the tank depth issue with more wattage. That way, it doesn't matter what temperature (K rating) the bulb is. :idea: A 400w bulb will allow most of its light to reach the bottom of a 24" tank.

but i think 400w 20k would be a little much for a 37g- even if placed 30" off the sand bed? Or do you think 250w is fine...

btw- sorry to keep asking that, but I keep getting mixed responses to that q! :scratchch
