removing rust from a pump

I got my hands on a mag 3. As expected the stainless screws are rusty. I'm going to replace them with nylon screws after I remove the rust. Any reccomendations for the best way to remove the rust?

I use WD40 to remove the rust itself followed by degreasing and a vinegar bath. That will clean it up completely.

Not brave! But thorough

Just enough to raise the PH to disolve the calcium buildup and to have your wife or gf complain about the small.

Just remember its vital to be thorough when using any kind of rust remover!! I cant stress the importance of this enough.

I am pretty sure the vinegar lowers the PH, not raising it.
