Feather duster moved can I remove the old tube?

Title says it all. My feather duster moved but is very close to the original location. I'm wondering if I can remove the old tube without causing any issue? Since the worm is close to the old tube I'm not sure how to tell if it's still in use or not.

i dont think it will ever go back into that tube he will grow a new give it a few days and see what happens

I believe he already made one. he's completely buried I'm just not sure if he's still attached to that tube or not. Maybe I'll give him a week before I remove the old tube.
