Some of my zoas started inverting in the past two days. I havent changes the light settings in past month. Water parameters are all good. I do carbon dose with vinegar. I did change gfo about 5 days ago and started running carbon after running the tank without it for a few months. My phosphate level has been around 0 to 0.03 for many months. The reason that i started running carbon again is that the water got a little cloudy a week ago, possibly from a bacterial bloom.
So far i turned down the light intensity and took carbon reactor offline.
How should i approach this issue?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

any pics? if your water was yellowing from not running carbon for a while, when you started running it again, it could have cleared the water allowing more light to penetrate. This would have been equivalent to increasing light intensity, so maybe it was that.

Hmmm. Hard to come up with anything from where I'm sitting, but without knowing more, what Reefness said
Would also use a quality carbon, rinse it before it goes into tank, and make sure it's not moving/tumbling/making dust

Thank you reefiness and themeat for your response.
I use aquamaxx rox .8 carbon. I rinsed it before placing and it wasnt tumbling in reactor.
I have used it in the past without any issues. I took the carbon reactor offline more than 24 hours ago and also turned down the light for the entire light cycle yesterday. Even so they were more inverted yesterday than they had been the day before. I know patience is key in the hobby.
Hopefully zoas will recover

Here are some pics from a few minutes ago. Light came on about 2 hours ago.
Eyes of rah seem to be affected the worst, stargazers somewhat less. There's no change in their appearance compared to yesterday.
