9000gph is not that much when you look at where is comes from, that can be a couple of tunzes and a vortech. I think flow can be too much if it's not broken up. if there is no controller i would opt for less flow and make it indirect, like bouncing off the glass as opposed to pointed at the corals.

I didn't think you guys were serious...But I do have an extra 1100 external laying around...Guess I'll just have to drill more 3/4in holes...

How much gph will run a Mrc 2 beckett skimmer...Then I could utilize my darts full potential along with my 2 hydor koralias for a grand total of somewhere around 7800 gph...I won't buy a controller because that just contradicts what you guys are saying...(a controller turns one off while changing current)correct?
