I was at a lfs and saw these stunning colored leather fingers, does anyone have an opinion or comment? I am assuming they are not natural, unless rare but for the price they were selling I highly doubt it?! I have heard of FW parrot fish being dyed but live corals as well??? If it is dyed what is the downside, o fcourse the upside is the rare color,....but will color fade, will lifespan decrease et etc.

The colors are probably real. Some of the none photosynthetic corals are very colorful. I have seen pink, orange, red etc(Dendro types). It does not do the pet store too much good if they try to color their corals, as the process will most likely kill the organism.

Just a word of caution, those corals types are considered very difficult to take care of. They typically require very specialized care that can only be provided by a dedicated reef keeper with lots of experience.
