eheim pump noise

im not sure why tonight my eheim 1260 return pump makes this real annoying buzzing noise as if someone is drilling something against my house. The buzz rattles my entire sump and stand then 5 mins later it stops - then its dead silent. Then I'llwalk away and it'll buzz again. Is something wrong wiht it?

haven't cleaned it once since i bought it - its about 4-5 months since

I would take it out and give it the impeller, housing, and body a good vinegar/water dip followed by a good toothbrush scrubbing.
