Any Ideas on reducing noise on sump drain

:chefico:I did not know wheir to post this so i posted it here!!!

Looking for some ideas on reducing noise in main tank.. The sump in main tank is 24 inches deep as the water cascades down its making allot of noise going to a just made fudge unit below tank and all new plumbing and the installed valves to adjust flows.... Is was thinking about putting BioBalls about 5 inches deep in sump Any other suggestions would be appreciated..

if you could take pics of your set up Im sure someone will know of a way to lower your noise.. There's many things you can do to stop noise..

for my sump to quiet it down i made a PVC stand than is level with the water were the water falls into the sump and than put egg crate ontop of it than cut 2 filter sheets/cotton sheets and that quieted the sump down so much and helped with filtration. Hope i was some help

where and how many overflows on you tank? corners middle?
take a pic of your sump. don't use bioballs.

i extended the pipes into my filter socks which is in the water and it worked wonders.
