A number of my fish have crossed the 10 year mark with no sign of slowing down ( a yellow tang, sailfin tang, marine betta) and clownfish have been known to survive for over 20 years in captivity. Other's in my care are around 7 or 8 ( longnose hawk, assorted Dottybacks).
Ive only been in the hobby for 3 years ,2 of them with a reef tank ,i have my Beautiful Elegance coral and my frogspawns for 2 years and some others that started the tank with me ,But doesnt compare to the others that have fish and corals for 9+ years
I have a damsel that's seven years old. I bought him from petland discounts on 14th st. thsy are gone now. he is the sole survivor out of a group of 8.
the others dies in a move and the two black outs we had.
