I was looking at DD and they dont have the 18' bulbs I need. They have a 24 watt bulb but I think thats too much for my tank. Im not sure though.

Thanx for the info man. One question that might seem stupid but what is the difference between aquablue, atinic and pue atinic. Does that mean theyre mostly blue?

You're welcome. The difference between the bulbs:

AquaBlue+ - 15000K Crisp White (I think this bulb is more like a 10k)

Actinic+ - Blue spectrum peaks @ 450nm

Pure Actinic - Blue spectrum peaks @ 420nm

As you mentioned, you didn't see any 18" bulbs from D & D. That is correct, they don't manufacture 18" T5's. As Chief said, only three manufacturers make 18" T5's: Current, UVL, Aquatic Life.

Hope this helps

Would this bulb be similar to the Pure Actinic?
