Just about to finish 4 weeks of running on empty with nuttin but rock and sand. Started seeing coralline around week 2. Around week 3 started running skimmer. Then the start of this week started running T5's.

I believe I'm cycled altho never saw spikes. Am hoping to add cleaning crew this weekend or next.

Question is about the little clumps of grass growing on the rocks. Dont think any of em cover are bigger than a button, and not terribly long yet. But are they good sign or bad? Will they get eaten by crew?

Thanks

bad sign, but not unmanageable -

Clean up crew is good for these, especially mexican turbos - nothing beats cycling your tank and doing frequent water changes, though.

I recently bought a blenny from a MR member to eat some of the same algae off a rock and he pics at everything algae, EXCEPT the one I wanted.
